Stefan Gaßner
Visual Identity & Editorial Architecture

I translate architectural rigor into precise visual systems. Rooted in the Ulm School (HfG) and Bauhaus traditions, I specialize in systemic visual identities and high-end monographs for architecture firms and cultural institutions.

Create – Translate – Contextualize

My work is defined by typographic precision, systemic clarity, and a deep understanding of materiality. Operating from Mexico, I provide a seamless partnership for firms in the US and Europe, delivering senior-level European design standards with full time-zone alignment.
A Global Perspective: My work is a synthesis of European precision and a deep appreciation for regional architectural identities. Each project is informed by a diverse cultural background—from the alpine craftsmanship of Austria and the structured design heritage of Germany and the Netherlands to the urban dynamism of Nice and Mexico City.

About

Stefan Gaßner (*1972, Lustenau, Austria).
Studied Graphic Design at SFG Ravensburg under Erich Schöls, following the tradition of the Ulm School. Independent graphic designer since 1996. Faculty member at Universidad Anáhuac, Mexico.

Note on Awards The following awards represent early milestones in my career, resulting from submissions made by my project partners at the time. Following these recognitions, I made a conscious decision to step away from design competitions. For me, the success of a project is not measured by a jury’s trophy, but by the long-term satisfaction of my clients and the resonance the work creates with its actual audience. My focus remains entirely on the intrinsic quality and functional impact of the design.
Awards, among others The Most Beautiful Books of Austria (2001, 2006); Gold Medal, Best Book Design from all over the World, Stiftung Buchkunst Leipzig (2006).
